Militant surrenders with family in Poonch

A militant today surrendered before the police along with his family in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district, police said today.
Mukhtiar Ahmed, of Hadi area of Surankote tehsil, who had crossed over to Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) in 2001 for arms training, surrendered before the Surankote police along with his wife and seven children, police said.
Ahmed, who infiltrated into India via Nepal from Pakistan, reached Surankote in Poonch without being intercepted during his travel through various states.
