Amritsar again turned out to be the coldest place in the two states recording a minimum temperature of 7.8 deg C, which was within the normal range, the MeT said.
Ludhiana recorded a low of 9.6 deg C while Patiala's low at 11 deg C settled a degree above normal.
In Haryana, Hisar's low settled at 11.4 deg C, up one notch while Karnal recorded a low of 9.8 deg C.
Chandigarh's minimum rose by over a notch since yesterday to settle at 11.4 deg C.
While the maximum temperatures have been steadily rising during the past one week, the minimum temperatures, too, are set to rise in the coming days, a MeT official said.
