Minimum temperatures stay around normal in Punjab, Haryana

Cold weather conditions continued in Punjab and Haryana even as minimum temperatures stayed around normal level in most parts of both the states.
UT Chandigarh, the joint capital of Punjab and Haryana, registered a low of 11 degrees Celsius, one degree above normal, a MeT department official said today.
In Haryana, Ambala and Hisar recorded minimums at 10.4 degrees Celsius and 11 degrees Celsius respectively, while Karnal's low was 9 degrees Celsius, two notches below normal.
Amritsar in Punjab recorded its low at 11.8 degrees Celsius, four notches above normal.
Among other areas, Ludhiana and Patiala recorded minimums at 11.4 degrees Celsius and 11.2 degrees Celsius respectively.
