The show will be based on the yet-to-be-released third "Game Change" novel by Mark Halperin and John Heilemann, who have co-authored the book series that influenced HBO's 2012 film of the same name, reported Variety.
The untitled project, which will be helmed by Jay Roach, will tell the story of the biggest political upset of all time, where Donald Trump got "dramatic, improbable victory" over Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential election, as told by HBO in a statement.
Similarly, the seventh season of "American Horror Story" will be based on the same theme.
