The 13-year-old girl, who was studying in a girl's school at Attur in Salem district, knew the boy -- a student of class 12th of the neighbouring boys school.
She had gone to his house last evening where she was allegedly raped.
The girl complained to her mother about the incident following which a complaint was lodged, police said, adding, a case was registered.
The boy was produced before a Mahila court for juvenile cases and he was sent to a juvenile home, police said.
