Minor boy run over by UPSRTC bus in UP

A 12-year-old boy was run over allegedly by a UPSRTC volvo bus today near village Kasthuni on Varanasi-Lucknow national highway, police said.
Akash, a resident of Kotiya in Sultanpur, was killed by the Lucknow-bound on the highway falling under police station Musafirkhana in Amethi district, they said.
The boy, who was travelling with his family members, was on his way to visit his relatives when he died on the spot, police added.
The bus was seized and the driver was taken into custody, police said, adding the investigation is underway.
