Minor girl from Jharkhand rescued from Malbazar

A minor girl of Jharkhand has been rescued from a person's house at Malbazar by a joint team of police and SSB personnel.
Acting on information provided by an NGO, Dooars Express Mail, the police and SSB men raided a house at Malbazar on Saturday from where they rescued the 13-year-old girl from Jharkhand, an officer of SSB's 10 Battalion said.
Plans were being made to sell off the girl who was also subjected to physical torture, the officer said.
The girl was handed over to the NGO which is trying to establish contact with her family in Jharkhsn, he said.
