According to the complaint filed by the victim's father, his 5-year-old daughter was coming back home from a shop with her younger brother when their neighbour forcibly took her into his house and raped her.
The accused managed to escape when the minor became unconscious, police said.
The victim was admitted to a community health centre here and later handed over to her family.
Police have registered a case against the youth under section 376 (rape) of IPC.
