The 14-year-old girl was raped by her 23-year-old neighbour at Dungrapur village on Tuesday evening and the complaint was lodged with the police on Thursday.
As per the complaint the girl's parents were away at the time and the youth forcibly took her to his house and committed the crime.
The girl, a student of standard eight in a local high school, was threatened with dire consequences if she reported the incident to anyone, the complaint said.
However, the girl reported the incident to her mother nearly 48 hours later following which a police complaint was lodged on Thursday.
He was remanded to judicial custody.
