Minor held for robbing German of camera

A minor boy, hailing from Jhansi in Uttar Pradesh, was today taken into custody for allegedly robbing the camera of a German tourist in February here, police said.
The minor was picked up from Jhansi following a tip- off. The boy has admitted that he along with two others on a motorcycle had snatched the camera of German Coothart Sievers (80) on February 24 this year, area Sub Divisional Officer of Police VK Mahor said.
"We have recovered the camera and impounded the motorcycle used for commissioning of the crime. We are trying arrest the two other accused," he added.

Sievers was dispossessed off his camera in Orchha town, while he was returning after clicking photographs of local heritage sites close to the banks of river Betwa, the official said.
"We are going to produce the minor before the competent authority (court)," the officer added.
