The incident took place yesterday when heated words were exchanged between Maherban and Jiju over possession of a disputed property. The scuffle soon escalated to firing by both sides, said Circle Officer Nishank sharma.
Firoz (17) and Mina (35) were caught in the crossfire, he said.
Firoz died while Mina has been rushed to a hospital, Sharma said.
An FIR has been registered in this regard, but no arrests have been made yet, police added.
