Miscreant arrested with arms
Three armed miscreants entered the railway station and threatened two railway officers on duty and fired one round from their 12 bore rifle yesterday.
The railway police personnel overpowered one of them, while the rest managed to escape, the police said.
Later, the RPF personnel handed over the apprehended youth to Haflong police along with one live cartridge of 12 bore rifle and one cache cover recovered from the scene.
The police have launched an operation in the area to nab the two escaped miscreants and investigation is on into the incident.
