Miscreants hurl bombs, residents panic

A group of miscreants hurled two bombs and allegedly open fire this evening near the Matwali crossing within the limits of Belur police station, the police said.
"Local residents have informed us that a group of miscreants hurled bombs and also opened fire inside the Jangi Singh Lane near Matwali crossing. We are probing the incident," said a senior police officer.
The officer added that residents have also alleged that a group of miscreants opened fire and were engaged in fisticuff in the Guha Road area, which was also being investigated.
