Replying to a special call attention by members of various parties, state Minister for School Education, Sports and Youth Affairs Vaigai Selvan said two bundles accidentally fell off a train near Vridhachalam in Cuddalore District on March 29 while being taken to the valuation centre.
Of this, 220 answer sheets were not damaged at all, 54 of them partially damaged and the remaining 63 completely damaged, he said.
As for another incident where two bundles containing 221 English Paper I answer sheets went missing near Gingee in Villupuram district, he said, "Marks would be given to the missing answer sheets."
He attributed both the incidents to the "negligent attitude" of the postal department.
