A three-year-old boy, who had gone missing from his home in northeast Delhi's Gokalpuri area last night, was traced in Loni early today, police said.
Yesterday around 9.30 PM, a man made a PCR call saying that his son has gone missing. The complainant alleged that some unknown person has kidnapped his son, said DCP (Northeast) Ajit Kumar Singla.
Police teams were working to trace the child even as the PCR staff and other beat motorcycle riders were informed about the boy.
All the adjoining police stations areas were informed and road from Nand Nagri to Wazirabad flyover and from Gokalpuri to Seelampur was physically checked, said the officer.
Announcements were made in all the religious places and all the orphanages were contacted.
The CCTV footage in the vicinity was examined but no clue was found about the boy.
Using the method of community policing, a local crowd of around 100 people was mobilised and briefed to search for the missing boy, he said.
Door-to-door search was done and the boy was traced around 6 AM today near Loni, Ghaziabad, he said.
However, the child isn't able to tell whether he was kidnapped.
The child is saying that he left for his maternal grandmother's house but isn't able to furnish clear details, said another officer.
