Police today claimed to have solved the case of kidnap-cum-murder of Naresh Sahni with the arrest of one Rajnish Mishra (22) from Pilibhit. Police have also recovered the victim's bones from Panipat where they had dumped him and after murder.
"Mishra was arrested recently by a police team from Dayalpur village in Panipat and a few bones, skull and clothes of Naresh were recovered today from Panipat," said Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) Ajay Kumar.
"Surveillance and monitoring was used to track the activities of the suspected persons and information was received that one of the kidnapper is in Pilibhit from where he was later arrested," he said.
During interrogation, Mishra, who works as a security guard confessed that he was offered Rs 1.5 lakh by his three associates to kill Naresh from whom they had taken a loan of Rs 3.5 lakh. All the four hatched a conspiracy and called him to Panipat where he was drugged and killed, police said.
