A girl was found within 24 hours after she went missing from her house in Jammu and Kashmir's Samba district, police said Sunday.
A family from Ramloo-Brahmana village had lodged a complaint at the Ramgarh police station stating that their daughter had gone missing from her home Friday evening, a police spokesman said.
He said a team was constituted to trace the girl.
"The police team mobilised all resources and succeeded in tracing the missing girl from Vijaypur area within 24 hours.
"She was brought back safely to police station Ramgarh and subsequently handed over to her family members after completing legal formalities, the spokesman said.
