"The body of Rumal Singh, who was missing from his village Jodhpur Ghat since January 14, was fished out from Chenab near Pul Doda yesterday afternoon," Doda SSP Naseem Manhas said.
A passerby noticed Singh's body floating in the river and informed the police, he said.
The body was later handed over to the family members for last rites after a postmortem was conducted at Doda district hospital, the SSP said.
"As per family, the man was mentally disturbed and a missing report was also lodged," he said, adding that an nvestigation has been launched into the matter.
