The resolution said that concerted efforts should be made for Mizoram to have a separate cadre of the All India Services.
Cutting across party lines, members of the state legislature supported the private resolution and narrated that successive governments had appealed to the Centre to create separate cadre for the state of Mizoram for all India services.
All India Service officers in the state were mainly from Arunachal Pradesh, Goa, Mizoram and Union Territories (AGMUT) cadre.
