Mizoram Assembly Budget session from March 17

The Budget session of the Mizoram Assembly would begin from March 17 with the customary address by Governor Dr Aziz Qureshi.
The session would continue till March 25.
Additional Secretary of the state Assembly S R Zokhuma told PTI today that the Business Advisory Committee (BAC) which met under the chairmanship of speaker Hiphei chalked out the programme of the coming session today.
He said that the Governor would deliver his customary gubernatorial address to the assembly on the first day of the session and the motion of thanks on his address would be deliberated on the second day.
The annual Budget would be presented by the Finance Minister Lalsawta on March 19, he said, adding that Lalsawta was likely to seek a vote-on-account for the first four months of the next fiscal as the Centre was yet to allocate the annual plan outlay for Mizoram.

The vote-on-account and the supplementary demand are likely to be discussed and passed on March 23.
