Mizoram Law Minister Lalsawta today said the draft Lokayukta Bill will be posted in the state government's official website for public deliberations before its submission to the state cabinet for final approval.
Lalsawta told PTI that the Lokayukta drafting committee had entertained a number of suggestions from interested organisations and individuals and had made a plethora of changes from the original draft bill.
"The final draft will be posted in the official website and seminars will be organised before being submitted to the Council of Ministers, to ensure transparency," he said.
The state government has sought financial assistance from the 14th Finance Commission for establishment of Lokayukta in Mizoram and the Commission was yet to make any recommendation, sources said.
