: Madras High court bench today directed police at Tiruchirapalli to get the report of the forensic on the agreement(marriage) signed between AIDMK MLA Paranjothi and one Dr.D.Rani,whom he allegedly married without divorcing his first wife and file a reply in three months.
Justice G.M.Akbarali admitting a Petition filed by Rani, who sought a direction to the inspector concerned to file a final report on her complaint against the MLA under sections of IPC on orders of the Judicial Magistrate of Tiruchirapalli, said police should get the views of the forensic experts in Hyderabad in three months, and file a report.
The woman alleged that the MLA, her childhood friend, had married her on Nov 10 2008,falsely stating he had divorced his first wife when she was working in a medical centre at tiruchi government Hospital. He had taken Rs 12.5 lakh cash and also 60 sovereigns of gold and signed an agreement to live with her on Oct 15,2010.
However he cheated her. She then asked the MLA to give back her money and jewels, but he allegedly threatened to kill her.She also came to know he had not divorced his first wife.
Though she gave a complaint to the Inspector, no action had been taken against the MLA's 'illegal activities', she said.
The petitioner then filed a private complaint at the Judicial Magistrate IV court, Tiruchirapalli, which directed the inspector to register a case on Dec 6,2011.
But even after registering the case, the final report on the case had not been filed Hence this petition.
