The girl, who was living in the Kahal area of Doda along with her family, had fled a remote village in the district in the wake of militancy in 1992 and migrated to Punjab.
"The family belonged to Doda and they should get back their girl," said former minister and Bhaderwah MLA Mohmmad Sharief Niaz.
The girl's parents met Niaz and said the class XII student was kidnapped by some armed persons from their Bari-Pati Jandila residence on May 8 and though the family has lodged a complaint with the police, no action has been taken yet.
