During a checking drive, police officials nabbed Varinder Singh alias Happy, a resident of Sirhind Mandi in the district and seized a .315 bore pistol and four live cartridges from him.
A case under the relevant sections of the Arms Act has been registered against Singh while the further probes are on, police added.
