Mob torches vehicles after mishap

An irate mob set on fire some vehicles after a motorcyclist was ran over by a dumper in Adityapur, about three km from here, in Seraikela-Kharswan district of Jharkhand, police said.
The speeding dumper crushed the victim, identified as Deepak Mishra of Adityapur, under the wheels while he was returning home on a two-wheeler tonight, Superintendent of Police, Durga Oraon said.
An irate mob assembled at the spot and put up road blockade before they set afire a dumper and two trucks in protest against the incident, police said.
The mob also damaged windowpanes of vehicles passing through the spot.
Adequate police force rushed to the spot.
