Mobile phones among banned items seized from jail

A haul of banned items, and seven mobile phones, were seized from the district jail in Bihar's Lakhisarai district, a police official said today.
During a routine checking in district jail premises last night, a team of senior civil and police officials seized seven mobile phones, 15 chargers, knives and blades were recovered from different prisoners' wards, the superintendent of police (SP) Ashok Kumar said.
The district magistrate Manoj Kumar Singh led the raid.
