Hitting out at the BJP-led NDA government for "miserably" failing to fulfil promises it made to the people before the Lok Sabha polls, the Congress today said the graph of Narendra Modi's government is falling drastically.
"In the past one year, Modi government's graph came down fastest in the history of polity of the country," Congress spokesman Rajeev Shukla said here.
"Modi had miserably failed to fulfil a single promise made by the BJP in its election manifesto," he said.
He alleged that the first year of Modi government went in just putting in place the policies and programmes initiated by the previous UPA government.
"The popularity of Modi government is on decline...Even the criticism of previous Manmohan Singh government started in the eighth year of its rule," he said.
Taking a jibe at BJP's 'Achee Din' slogan, he said that "this has now become a satire for the general public."
He said that the Modi government has been doing grave injustice to the farmers in the country as "no compensation is being paid to farmers whose crop had been destroyed by hailstorms and rains."
Shukla said that despite rates of diesel coming down internationally, the Modi government had hiked fuel price twice in one week.
"The one year rule of Modi government is dismal and it is dangerous for the country," he said.
He said that the NDA government had failed to implement One Rank One Pension norm and was patting its back for following the previous UPA government's e-visa programme.
"The visa on arrival should be permitted in 182 countries instead of 132," he said.
Speaking on Congress' debacle in the Lok Sabha polls last year, he said that the party failed to propagate its people-friendly policies and programmes.
"We (Congress) couldn't do marketing of our programmes," he said.
