Prime Minister Narendra Modi today appreciated Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi and cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar for participating in 'Swachh Bharat' campaign and said the mission can be made successful by working together.
"Glad to see Assam CM Tarun Gogoi ji inspiring the people of Assam to work towards a Clean India," Modi tweeted.
In another tweet, he said, "I congratulate @sachin_rt for his efforts", referring to Tendulkar wielding a broom and cleaning up a street in Mumbai to participate in 'clean India' campaign.
"Together we will make Swachh Bharat Mission a success," the Prime Minister said.
Modi, while launching the campaign on October two, had invited Tendulkar to participate in it.
Responding, Tendulkar had tweeted, "I humbly accept the challenge".
