Senior Congress leader and former Union Minister V Narayanasamy today charged Prime Minister Narendra Modi with holding the reins of power at the Centre after giving 'false promises' to the people at the Lok Sabha polls.

"The real colour of the present Central government will be exposed in the next six months' he told party workers at the end of a PCC rally here today to felicitate him on appointment as AICC General Secretary in charge of party affairs in the seven north eastern States.

Narayanasamy claimed Congress was emerging as a forceful organisation and the people would be convinced that the PM and BJP had only extended false assurances and promises during the elections'.

Claiming that Congress would stage a comeback in Puducherry in the Assembly polls in 2016 he said AICC leader Sonia Gandhi had made him the General Secretary though such a reshfuffle was expected only after the coming Assembly polls in Maharashtra and Haryana.

Urging partymen to work hard for the party's success, he said Congress (now a major opposition in the Assembly here) was gaining root and would emerge as a strong and invincible force in the 2016 assembly polls n Puducherry.
