In less than a year, Modi has improved India's ties with neighbours, put India-US relationship on fast track, connected with the Indian Ocean countries, evolved a new "Act East" Asia Policy and won the hearts and minds of world leaders, BJP leader Tarun Vijay told a Washington audience yesterday.
Currently on a visit to the US to attend the annual Spring meeting of the IMF and the World Bank, Vijay said all doubts, apprehensions about Modi's foreign policy has been proven wrong.
Despite great provocation, the government has continued talks and engagement with Pakistan, he said, adding that relationship with other neighbors Bhutan, Nepal and Sri Lanka is better than ever.
Indian Ocean region is now a priority area for the US.
Vijay hoped Modi's upcoming visit to China would be highly successful.
