Monisha Jaising's to showcase line onboard a cruise

Lakme Fashion Week will open this season with designer Monisha Jaising's show on a luxury cruise ship, which has been docked in India for the very first time.
Jaisingh will showcase her new couture collection onboard the Costa neoClassica on January 20.
"I want to create a sense of drama, glitz, ultra-glam, emphasizing sharp angles and playing with varying tones throughout the collection. It's about reinventing classic silhouettes. It's also the joy of a modern woman, unafraid to spread her wings and conquer big city nights in Haute Couture, of course," Jaisingh said in a statement.
Nalini Gupta, a representative of Costa Cruise India, said, "We look forward to launching the Costa neoClassica Sailings in Mumbai, with the launch of the opening show of the Lakme Fashion Week, for a completely unique and one of a kind fashion event."

"Designer Monisha Jaising will be presenting her collection on an international cruise ship, with the Arabian sea as the backdrop to her runway providing an experience that is bound to wow the audience," Purnima Lamba, Head of Innovations, Lakme, added.
