Monsoon active in Bihar, temperature dips below 30 deg C

Bihar reported a drop in the maximum temperature today after scattered rains.
The MeT office said the southwest monsoon is active over the state and heavy rains are likely to hit several areas tomorrow.
An IMD bulletin said Purnea was the wettest place in the state, receiving 80.4 mm of rains, followed by Gaya 52 mm and Patna 35 mm.
Overcast conditions prevailed in Patna and the maximum in the city hovered below normal.
The MeT office has forecast overcast skies and rains or thunderstorm in Patna and Purnea. Light to moderate rainfall may also occur in other parts of the state.
