The spy action/comedy is about a retired CIA agent, played by Freeman, who enlists the help of his video game programmer stepson to finish a Cold War era mission, reported Deadline.
The production company is currently looking to cast for the step-son role.
The character is described as gamer, who forgoes a video game conference in Paris, to join a search after he discovers that his stepfather (Freeman) is a former CIA agent.
The Millennium Entertainment film will be directed by Raja Gosnell attached to direct.
The 78-year-old "Million Dollar Baby" star will also be seen in "London Has Fallen" releasing next March and in the remake of Ben-Hur.
