Boycott believes England's one-day captain is not good enough against the world's best bowlers and described England's 111-run loss to Australia in their tournament opener as "bloody stupid" and "brainless".
Morgan, who was dismissed for his his fourth duck in his last seven one-day international innings against Australia at the Melbourne Cricket Ground on Saturday, was asked about Boycott's criticism at his post-match media conference.
"Geoffrey tends to be critical 24/7, and I actually don't know if people ... Well, certainly people within the team, it falls on deaf ears," Morgan said.
"It's rich coming from him," Anderson said.
