Union Minister of State for External Affairs V K Singh today parried questions regarding the controversy surrounding his senior cabinet colleague Sushma Swaraj and also about the Indian Army's operation against militants in Myanmar.
When asked by reporters for his comments on the issues, Singh said he had come here to take stock of the preparations for the 10th World Hindi Conference (Vishwa Hindi Sammelan) which would be held from September 10 to 12.
Swaraj, under fire for helping tainted former IPL boss Lalit Modi in getting travel documents from UK authorities, is the convener of the conference by virtue of being the External Affairs Minister.
