Mother, minor son killed in road accident

A boy and his mother were killed when their motorcycle collided with a tractor-trolley near Loh Chapp village today, the police said.
Rajni Bala (40), an employee of the Punjab State Power Corporation, and her son Pushap (15), both residents of Qadian town in Gurdaspur district, were on their way to their native village when their motorcycle collided with the tractor- trolley.
The motorcycle was being driven by the minor, the police said.
The bodies of the deceased were sent to the civil hospital here for post-mortem, the police said, adding that the driver of the tractor-trolley managed to flee after the incident.
