A four-year-old tigress was killed allegedly by poachers near Baruha Nulla under Dhamakher range in Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve of Madhya Pradesh.
The animal's body was found this morning.
The tigress was electrocuted and her teeth, nails and the radio collar around the neck were missing.
The tigress, who was born in an enclosure, was released into the wild only a year ago.
Forest officials stopped receiving signals from the radio collar around her neck on May 24, following which a search was started.
Three suspected poachers were arrested in the area four days ago, but they were subsequently released by the court on bail.
