Department of Industrial Policy & Promotion (DIPP) Secretary Amitabh Kant took to micro-blogging site Twitter on Tuesday to congratulate the MSME Ministry for the decision.
"Congrats 2 MSME dept 4 bringing a 20 page Regtn form 2 just 1 page. Fill in 3 mnts online. #Ease of Doing Business," Kant tweeted.
In the meeting of the Advisory Committee headed by MSME Secretary on August 5, all the participants supported the initiative of the Ministry for formulating one-page Udyog Aadhaar Registration Form as a part of ease of registration process with some minor modifications.
The modifications recommended include incorporating one column regarding type of organization (like individual, proprietorship, partnership etc) and one column for type of enterprise.
Moreover, it was decided to incorporate previous EM1 /EM2/SSI Number in the Form and details of Social Category.
"The Committee recommended that with above modifications in the form, the Ministry may also engage various stakeholders like industry associations, state governments, central ministries/departments concerned, etc. To seek comments /suggestions on the proposed Udyog Aadhaar Registration Form within a fortnight and finalized," the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Ministry said.
