Mum: Services on Trans-Harbour local line briefly suspended

The suburban services of Trans-Harbour line were suspended for a brief period this morning due to entanglement of a machine part between sleeper and rail on Down Trans-Harbour line between Thane and Airoli stations.
The services were suspended from 05.50 to 10 am today, Central Railways (CR) said in a statement.
Passengers of Trans-Harbour line were permitted to travel on Main and Harbour line via Kurla. During this period, continuous announcements were made at the stations for the information of the passengers, it added.
Arrangement of additional bus services from Thane CIDCO bus stand and Vandana Talkies bus stand to Vashi were made with the help of Thane Municipal Transport (TMT) for the benefit of the passengers, adding that shuttle services were run between Nerul and Panvel, the release said.

However, services on Main line and Harbour line were not affected.
The Trans-Harbour local line connects Thane to Panvel and Vashi.
