Murder accused booked under NSA for fresh cases

A murder accused, who had allegedly shot dead a BSP activist, was booked in fresh cases under National Security Act (NSA) at Kairana in Shamli district here, police said today.
The accused Furkan, who was arrested for several other cases, was yesterday booked under NSA in Shamli here, police said.
Furkan is currently lodged in jail for the alleged murder of the BSP activist Vinod Singhal and has been detained by the district authorities under NSA, DSP Prakash Kumar said.
35-year-old BSP activist was shot dead allegedly by three unidentified bike-borne assailants, including Furkan, at his business establishment in Kairana town after he failed to meet the demand of extortion money at Kairana town on August 16 last year.
