Murder accused found hanging from tree

: A murder accused, out on bail, was today allegedly committed suicide by hanging from a tree in front of his house in a village near Gudalur, some 80 Kms from here.
Balachandran (48) had been arrested in connection with the murder of three members of a family in retaliation for the murder of his wife and two daughters by his nephew over a property dispute on May 12, 2012.
The accused was on bail and had to appear before the district court today for hearing.
Since he failed to do so, police went in search of him to his house in Srimadurai, only to find him hanging from a tree.

The body was retrieved and sent for post-mortem.
