Murder accused killed in court campus in TN

In a suspected revenge attack, a 30-year-old murder accused was today brutally killed allegedly by a five-member gang in the campus of a court here in full public view.
Police said Sesuraja was leaving the Judicial Magistrate court after it extended his bail in a murder case when the gang fatally attacked him around noon and fled the scene.
As he emerged out of the court through the rear gate, he saw the accused standing on the road, following which he ran back into the campus to escape, they said.
He was pursued by them, but he fell down in the chase, following which they then hacked him with sickles and ran away as the public watched in horror, police said, adding, Sesuraja died on the spot.

Sesuraja had been arrested along with four others in connection with the murder of a person in June last year and had subsequently obtained bail.
Police said they suspect the killing to be an aftermath of the last year's murder and added that they were on a lookout for the five accused.
