Murder convict who had escaped in 2007 caught in Panaji

Goa police today arrested a murder convict who had escaped from the jail seven years ago.
Officers of Anti Narcotic Cell Police Station arrested here Rudolf Gomes (34), who had escaped from Margao sub-jail on September 16, 2007.
Gomes and another person called Jackson Dhadel had been convicted for the murder of Godwin Dsilva of Panaji. Both had escaped from the jail alongwith 12 others when they were brought out for puja on the Ganesh Chaturthi day in 2007.
