Farman, an eyewitness in the murder case of his brother Altaf in 2014, was shot dead yesterday, said SHO Chaman Singh Chawda.
The body has been sent for postmortem.
It's been alleged that Farman was pressurised to withdraw the case, in which he was supposed to give the statement in a court on January 13, the SHO added.
A case has been registered against one Nassem, Gulab, Manjjor and Amjad after a complaint by Kayom, the deceased's uncle. Cops are yet to arrest the accused.
