"The agenda of the All India Ulema Conference tomorrow will be riots, terror, atrocities and violence-free India and our ulemas will appeal for peace and harmony in the country," MRM Convenor Mohammad Afzal told PTI on phone.
"An appeal will also be issued on behalf of Ulemas that there should not be any riot in the country in the name of religion," he said.
Stressing that communal riots were also a big reason behind the backwardness of Muslims, he said, "After every riot, poor Muslims are further marginalised and we want to tell the entire country and Prime Minister Narendra Modi that it is high time that we all should unitedly work for the progress of the country."
"When there will be peace and harmony, backward Muslims will get into the mainstream and work for the country's progress", he said.
