Traders said besides rising demand from local parties to meet festive and wedding season demand amid restricted supplies from producing belts mainly kept mustard oil prices higher.
They said, however, subdued demand from consuming industries kept pressure on castor oil prices.
In the national capital, mustard expeller (Dadri) oil advanced by Rs 100 to Rs 8,400 per quintal.
