Market players said mounting of stocks on supplies of new crops from growing belts amid limited offtake by oil mills, led to the decline.
At the National Commodity and Derivative Exchange, mustard seed delivery for May contract moved down further by Rs 21 or 0.50 to Rs 4,161 per quintal, revealing an open interest of 17,850 lots.
Similarly, delivery of the most traded April month went down by Rs 18 or 0.44 per cent to Rs 4,119 per quintal, with an open interest of 41,630 lots.
