Mustardseed futures fall Rs 48/qtl

Mustardseed prices plunged by Rs 48 to Rs 4,596 per quintal in futures trading today as traders trimmed their positions, tracking a weak trend at the spot markets.
At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, mustardseed for delivery in most-active January fell by Rs 48, or 1.03 per cent, to Rs 4,596 per quintal, with an open interest of 40,350 lots.
On similar lines, mustardseed for delivery this month lost Rs 28, or 0.60 per cent, to Rs 4,670 per quintal, clocking an open interest of 17,780 lots.
