In tbe order passed on November 9 by MWRRA Chairman Ravi Buddhiraja, along with members Chitkala Zutshi and S V Sodal, the authority directed to fully implement the October 17, 2015 order of the GMIDC to release water to the Jayakwadi dam in Aurangabad district.
Earlier, while opposing the order, the petitioners had sought that water need not be released from upstream, on the grounds that it would cause transit losses and adversely affect crops.
