Last fiscal, during the same, Nagpur division's earning stood at Rs 1,279.42 crore.
In October this year alone, the earning was Rs 236.68 crore against Rs 198.66 crore (up by 19.1 per cent) from last year during the same period, a release issued by Nagpur division of Central Railway said here today.
A major share of revenue came from freight, which saw a 20 per cent rise at Rs 1,231.64 crore as compared to last year's corresponding period Rs 1,064.75 crore. In October 2014, revenue from freight was Rs 192.59 crore, up from Rs 159.89 crore from last year's revenue in the same month, it added.
In October, the earning from the passenger segment was Rs 38.35 crore, which was Rs 32.66 crore in October 2013.
